Corporate Social Responsibility Policy

 

The rapid economic, technological and social changes of today have given way to new ways of seeing and analyzing the role of accountants within companies and within society; not only as the collector and generation of information, but as a thinker who contributes knowledge and ideas that  They will help improve the functioning not only of organizations but of the community in general, since this must have, before academic training, training as a person with high moral qualities in order to base a new accounting technique that adapts to the requirements worldwide.

JC & Asociados for more than 27  years satisfies its clients in the most efficient and effective way, it has a suitable staff to fulfill this task, for this it offers its collaborators a safe place and a pleasant work environment. Its suppliers are responsible and ethical.

It cares about the environment, therefore it uses technologies, equipment and supplies that do not harm the environment or reduce energy waste.  And always try to give back in some measure to the community or society in general.

For this, it is governed by the following postulates:

  • Support and respect the 10 Principles of the United Nations Compact.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace to prevent workplace accidents.

  • Use resources and technologies that are friendly to the environment, as well as apply measures that cooperate with recycling and energy saving.

  • Train staff periodically, so that they are updated on issues relevant to their professional career.

  • Choose suppliers that operate ethically and responsibly. Establish relationships of mutual benefit.

  • Give back to the community by participating in and supporting activities that promote social well-being: education, health, childhood, or some other important sector  of the society.

Structure of the Social Responsibility System

Committee to supervise CSR management:


A committee will be formed that will be in charge of guiding and supervising the CSR management, as well as dealing with those cases for which there is no defined procedure or standard, to regulate the way in which said extraordinary decisions will be made. This committee will be made up of the following people:

The objective is to allow the execution of the CSR policy through the allocation of the necessary resources for its correct development, for which it will be in constant communication with the Management to timely request the inputs that are required.

 

The Directorate will meet with the members of the committee every six months to evaluate the progress.

It is essential that moral and ethical principles, in addition to good interpersonal relationships, are always present at JC & Asociados. The following guidelines have been defined for this:

  • All JC & Asociados officers must fully comply with the International Financial Reporting Standards and the International Auditing Standards.

  • Respect the confidentiality of the information of its clients, for which special contracts have been established, which all collaborators who are part of the Firm must sign and respect.

  • Provide your clients with accurate information so that they can make their decisions; and create new techniques to improve performance in forecasting economic phenomena and thus prevent fraud and corruption.

  • Always maintain professional ethics to seek not only the maximization of utility but also the common good  that serves for decision-making, without leaving aside responsibility and social commitment. There is a document called "Ethical Requirements for Firm Officers" which is known to all  and which must be respected.

  • Motivate staff through various ways: recreational activities, end of the year party, bonuses, among others.

  • Any type of discrimination, verbal harassment or sexual harassment between employees, customers, suppliers or anyone who has any relationship with the company is prohibited.

  • No assets of the Firm may be used for personal benefit or for any party other than the company. For the use of assets, permission must be requested from the General Management.
